NO OPENINGS AT PRESENT

Chaitanya is Dr. Swarna Rajagopalan’s consultancy window. Chaitanya’s work reflects Dr. Rajagopalan’s professional interests and commitments. In 2025, the consultancy is undergoing important changes and restructuring. Internship and other opportunities will be posted as they come up.

As most of Chaitanya’s work is pro bono, our internships are unpaid. However, care will be taken to structure them so they are learning experiences.

How to apply: Write to <[email protected]> with a bio-data, telling us why you are interested in a specific position, why you think you are a good fit and what you expect to gain from it.

The RC07 Internship

Dr. Rajagopalan chairs a Research Committee of the International Political Science Association. There are a host of communication and organisational tasks involved and the RC07 Intern would help with:

  • Communication: X, mailing list, editing and posting the webinar video to YouTube

  • Logistics: Managing the hosting for the monthly webinar

The work should not take more than 2 hours a week but it may be a little more during the webinar week and less at other times.

The intern will work primarily with Dr. Rajagopalan but also RC07 Board members and volunteers. Because RC07 is a global research network and our webinars bring together Political Science research on gender from around the world, this is an excellent learning opportunity.

Duration: 6 months. The need for this support is year-round. For this to be a learning experience, an intern would need to commit to a 6 month stint–(1) January-June 30 and (2) July 1-December 31.

The Peace Education Summer Internship

The intern will work with Dr. Rajagopalan on peace education related research and outreach initiatives. The centrepiece of this internship is to help with The Disarmament Toolkit, an annual online course on peace and disarmament, held in June. Research, programme planning, writing, communication and managing event logistics will be part of the work assignments.

Duration: 8 weeks, including the dates of the disarmament course and a week after.
